A Christopher Beeks served in the Revolutionary war from Virginia. His wife was Catherine Barnes. Some of their children were said to have been born at Harper’s Ferry, Virginia. Their known children were: Nancy born 1788, who married George May; Elizabeth who was born in Augusta County, Va. In 1790; Sarah who married William D. Powers; Catherine who married George M. Smith. Christopher Beeks (see above) died near Xenia, Ohio, about 1818. His wife married 2nd. Samuel Ewing, who died in Albany, Indiana. QUERY—What is the ancestry of Catherine Beeks nee Barnes?
